About Us
Welcome to Advance Power Redding! We’re a licensed solar company with over 20 years of experience building grid-tied and off-grid solar systems. We have also installed dozens of wind turbines and small hydroelectric power systems.
Background
In 1999, our founder Greg Tomsik was asked to build a custom home off-grid and a power system for the home. He contacted Pete Gregson, owner of Advance Solar, Hydro, Windpower Inc. in Calpella, CA. Pete designed and supplied all the materials to build the system, and it’s still working today! Pete, an industry Icon, has trained many people throughout the 70’s and 80’s that continue to help build the solar industry. After working together for ten years, we aligned Energytech and Advance Power, Inc and formed Advance Power Redding. At our storefront, we sell everything you need to become energy self-sufficient. We can do the installation or supply the materials for you to do it yourself.
